I'm on an unlocked T-mobile 6t converted to international. If I just wait for the non-beta OTA for 10 to hit my phone, should it update OTA with no problems? Am I still dependent on T-moblie for the timing of the update? Thanks!

the whole point of converting to international variant is so that you will not be locked to T-Mobiles update schedule. if you have successfully converted, you can use oxygen updater, the download from oneplus.com if you don't want to wait for the ota.

Thank you Chumdini. You gave me the confidence to update with Oxygen Updater and it went smoothly. There was an incremental update, then to 10.3.0. The only issue is that I get a message that I can't use Google Pay because my device's software doesn't meet software standards.
Anyone - What's the fix for this? I appreciate the convenience of Google Pay when I am out and about.

it's because safety net fails. to my knowledge there hasn't been a fix unless you root the device. I have sent logs to OnePlus in hopes for a fix.

If you have converted your T-Mobile (USA) model to the global version, as per post #1 of this thread, and have joined the Open Beta test firmware programme... then this should be coming to you soon, either OTA or via Oxygen Updater...

OnePlus have just started the Open Beta 4 roll out for Android 10 OTA for the OnePlus 6 & 6T, (strangely enough, referred to as Open Beta #29 & #18 respectively, in the OnePlus Downloads & Update store), to test new features and fixes that may or may not, come to future firmware updates. You will only receive this test firmware OTA if you are already on their Open Beta releases.

    Changelog

    System

    •Optimized details for Emergency Rescue

•Added a feature to support reminders for privacy alerts

•Improved system stability and fixed general bugs

•Updated Android security patch to 2019.12

    Phone

•Added ringtone increasing and decreasing features for incoming calls

    Reading Mode

•Fresh new chromatic effect for a more immersive and comfortable reading experience with smart color gamut and saturation adjustment (Settings-Display-Reading Mode-Turn on Reading Mode-Chromatic effect)

Android Security patch = December 2019

    Camera version = 3.8.96

This is the 21st Open Beta release for the 6T in 366 days = 1 update, on average, every 17 days.

(N.B. Open Beta is NOT available for the T-Mobile (USA) carrier minority variant firmware)

so I switched over to international...which is awesome ...my phone doesn't heat up anymore and batter life is better. The issue I have is that gpay no longer works, Netflix can't be added because my phone doesn't pass safteynet. Do you know if there is a workaround that is not rooting the phone as I'm afraid that I will mess it up and brick my phone. I have zero experience rooting a phone

No. At the moment the only way to get play certification on a T-Mobile 6T running A10 is to use T-Mobile's A10 update.

Yes - MSM back to the T-mo A9 firmware (look on xda for that) and then take the OTA's to the current version. Your data will be wiped, so back-up.

yeah I might jus roll with how it is now. Just sucks not working to it's full capacity. But the better battery life and cooler phone not to mention faster. if I wanna watch Netflix I guess I'll watch it on my TV lol.

I am receiving a warranty replacement 6T form TMO Monday:
    Several questions:
    A. will the instructions in post 1 of this thread still work as written?
    B. what , if any Drawbacks. other than the gpay/netflix issues should i expect( i dont use either of those on this device)
    C. are there any OTHER versions i can flash to...like the stock oneplus version that come on units purchased/shipped in the USA from OP?

with my 6t t-Mobile converted to international variant , I can flash ROMs but the fingerprint sensor doesn't work 80% of times..in aosp ROMs I tried many different ROMs, same issue ...is it because TMobile phone running international firmware? should I try official day to unlock TMobile after installing the stock TMobile firmware ...will it make difference to fingerprint issue
