I have a OnePlus 7T Pro 5g McLaren edition and can't seem to get it to detect the new may security update from T-Mobile released a few days ago. I've tried wiping the cache in recovery, wipe the settings cache, Google play cache and tried on wifi and cellular but nothing seems to work. there's no way to manually download the update. what should I do?

same. I finally got an update last night but I'm still on the April security patch. I think they may have had to pull the original update with the May patch.

I called T-Mobile they said it should have been included. it is listed on T-Mobile's website. He said they roll let engineering know about it.

I had also called and talk to T-Mobile to let them know that it did not include May security update. though my phone is working better than it has been. Better battery life today after updating yesterday. And much faster 5G speeds but I'm sure that's because they update my area. only I was only getting about 40 to 50 megabits on 5G now I'm getting about 80 to 115. so that it would go to engineering and if it does get added they'll be another update of the same update number but just adding may. or I'm thinking we just wait until June's update and will get bumped to June.

Leslie it could have been just a mistake that they left it out. if anything Noah doing emergency update of the same build number just including May. but it also included which I was surprised giving us 5G bands of n2 and n66. to make our phones last a lot longer. And it had some bug fixes as well. and even if we don't get maze update as long as they do next month's update correctly and June's will just be bumped up to June's

New 5G bands are not a total surprise. It's only software that is necessary to turn on even more. Surprisingly however is the fact neither OnePlus nor T-Mobile mentioned that the modem using in the 5G McLaren phone is the newer Qualcomm X55 rather than the older X50 that is normally paired with the Qualcomm 855+ processor. As long as T-Mobile releases firmware to unlock it, you may see even more bands supported in the future. Not that it's a guarantee that more will be activated.

May be part of the puzzle that T-Mobile has the 7T Pro 5G McLaren for sale still and no OnePlus 8 Pro phones (only the 8). If only this were advertised better and T-Mobile show off the phone more.

it was on OnePlus as website that the OnePlus 70 pro 5G McLaren had the x55 modem. they have always advertise it to have the x55 modem. even T-Mobile advertised it they did not advertise it having band 41 because they hadn't fully closed the deal with Sprint once they close the deal is Sprint they start advertising band 41 on their website.

I think given the new bands updates because of the fact that they're not selling OnePlus 8 pro and honestly I'm okay with that because the OnePlus 8 pro and the OnePlus 7t pro or not drastically different. and I'm taking a lot of pictures the camera in the 70 pro McLaren is actually really really good.

I'm just sure that they actually left out the May update. but with us being updates almost every month by the end of the month I'm sure we'll get the June's update and be fine.

waiting for the 7t find ticket the life captions and the battery monitoring update where it will automatically turn charging off at 80% and then charge the full once an hour before you can unplug your phone.
