Are you certain that's all that TMo does before pushing OP6T updates?
    Maybe there's more............

The way their update schedule looks with the new additional update on the 6t support page, they included the first oneplus 6t update in the security patch. I would look for the same thing to happen this time.

The updates for the T-Mobile variant have a different version number then the unlocked ones. 9.0.1 is the equivalent of 9.0.7 if you look at the change logs, they do looks almost the exact same. There is a small delay from the update for unlocked to T-Mobile, this update was about 10 days apart. I'm not complaining at all. If I wanted to get my updates same days, I would have bought a unlocked version. But one is certain about using this device, coming from a rooted *insert phone here* for years, I haven't felt the need to do any of the normal things I would do on my phones. Usually starting with getting rid of all the useless apps. This phone has been a dream!

Strange! There has never been an OxygenOS 9.08 firmware for the global 6T.

I agree that 9.0.1 is based on OxygenOS 9.0.5, see, here.

However, since there were no changes in the base firmware and the only addition for 9.0.2 was, as T-Mobile (USA) state, "Enables support for additional domestic roaming partners", then the new release is still the same and based on the global model's OxygenOS 9.0.5, even down to the November Android Security patch and old version of the camera.
