Works ONLY for T-Mobile OnePlus 8!

You can now convert your T-Mobile OnePlus 8 to the same unlocked software the regular OnePlus 8 sold by OnePlus website.

You do need to have your Sim unlocked after 40 days of owning the device. (So network of your Sim can work)

Request an unlock code from OnePlus to get an unlock token because you need to unlock bootloader.

Head over to XDA Developers and look for "Convert to Global WIP" and download the files for the OnePlus 8. Once have the files, extract them, and click FLASH ALL and it will start the process. I did it and works very well. I'm currently running the Oxygen OS 11 Beta 1.

Now that you are converted, you can get the latest software updates from OnePlus themselves and don't have to wait for T-Mobile to release them. "LOCAL UPGRADE" menu now available in settings [System Updates] since it is not available on T-Mobile firmware.

Still waiting on unlock token files for my OP8, I read through the whole XDA thread and have questions for you, I'll be so appreciate if you can help me out.
Bunch of guys mentioned that they use MSM to downgrade the T-Mobile firmware to version 10.5.7 first, then flash the Global version 10.5.9, then update, in order to get signal.
I am currently on T-Mobile firmware 10.5.10, trying to aviod MSM and /flash all/ the lateast Global version 10.5.12.

So what was the T-Mobile firmware version of your OP8 before you /flash all/?
Which Global version did you flash?
Have you ever have signal issue after /flash all/?

I used MSM download tool which came with 10.5.7 to go back to stock in XDA DEVELOPERS forum. After being on T-Mobile stock firmware 10.5.7 via MSM download tool, take the latest software update that appears. Then convert. I downloaded and installed Oxygen OS 10.5.11 International (Global) ROM on my computer then flashed. Then once after converting to 10.5.11, I took the automatic software update which was 10.5.12 which allowed me to re lock the bootloader with no issues (don't set up your phone if you want to re lock the bootloader). Then I installed the Oxygen OS Open beta which you can find anywhere, just make sure you choose "NA" which is Global. I then did a Factory Reset which helped eliminate issues. Only real issue I found before then was 3rd party music apps not working like music would constantly stop.

To unlock bootloader: fastboot oem unlock.
To re lock bootloader: fastboot oem lock

2nd version which is the newest fastboot command to unlock or re lock bootloader: fastboot flash cust-unlock

    fastboot flash cust-lock

OR you can download "tool all in one" software program that will easily unlock or relock your bootloader in 3 seconds. Just make sure you have Unlock token and grab it within the "tool all in one".
    Hope this helps.

No you don't. It would come up as QCOM. I guarantee you don't have the correct drivers installed or else it wouldn't say waiting for device it only says that because you don't have the correct drivers installed, or you are not in EDL mode when you try to run the program

I would try rebooting to edl mode before running the program. If that doesn't work you have to search for the correct drivers. I had an issue when I was trying to convert my 6T, because it's a totally separate driver than what OnePlus wants you to install. if I had the driver or a link to it I would definitely post it but I do not
