Most people don't even care..
They post about anything on the web...
And actually , those personalized ads, generated out of the collected data, are just dumb..
I get the stuff I search for, presented over and over again, having the effect that I choose not to buy or select another product...
It feels like they want to make me buy the stuff..
And I'm like screw I don't want it anymore, I'm gonna choose another brand...
I'm more concerned about the fact that people have the knowledge of the world in their hands and don't know how to use it...
In the late 90ties I was co-head of an Internet-cafe Franchise call Surf-Inn...
Next to classes how to build simple homepages with html, Excel , Word, we also had courses about how to research the WB wisely and how to email..
Mostly small businesses booked those classes...
But also senior citizen organizations and sometimes we had school classes...
Back then I was like " Hey, people are really interested in using this tool to get knowledge.."
But today it's mostly self-presentation, egomania, jumping on everything that suits the personal interest, without reading between the lines and fact checking...
So if we want to take the web back, stop sharing everything on social media, don't have an opinion about everything...
Ask your self, is my opinion really so interesting, and do I even care if anonymous people from who knows where, have an opinion about mine, and do I really need to share that on every friggin social media channel out there...?
80% of the net is just useless bananas..
