Bootloader needs to be locked to flash CB Pie 9, not unlocked.

Did you perform a factory reset before install?
Why did you unlock your bootloader?

I know, i also suggest people to do a clean install if they want to have a better experience but not everyone willing to reset their device.we can't do anything about it.:)

    Just ignore "those people".

Benchmark are as accurate as dancing naked in your garden to test a devices performance.

I unlocked bootloader because in original post it is written that Unlocked bootloader is required to install this beta... and yes I did factory reset/ wipe everything from recovery before installing.

It's said in the original post that.
A locked bootloader is needed not the other way around.

Here is how I flashed Pie on stable 5.0.8 with unlocked bootloader, twrp 3.3.0-1 installed.
    • Wiped everything
    • Flashed ROM
    • Flashed TWRP
When I clicked reboot system the phone vibrated for 10 seconds and got switched off, but the notification light was glowing (phone was not put to charge). I did wait for 1minute before pressing the power button for a few seconds and the notification light went off. I tried to switch it on again and it started the decrypting after which it did a factory reset.
After booting up 1st thing I did was get rid off the animations under developer options. Rebooted to recovery and there was no trwp but stock recovery.

Now I have flased TWRP, Magisk and Substratum is also working good.
