Thanks for reading! All credit goes to Jason (@scotty137) for that ingenious analogy!

amazing article! Really explains everything well. I'd prioritise CPU and ram more than the GPU, since I would want to do multiple tasks and coding on my desktop, rather than gaming. Same for my phone. And Iam sure I'd still get a decent GPU.

That was great explanation.... the library example was best and simple way to make anyone understand how data is been handled by...RAM cpu aymd storage. great read.

it's a pitty that the cable Wich came with the pro 7 is a USB 2.0 in stead of a 3.0....with the 3.0 you can transfer data to your PC much faster

double data rate not dual data rate.
and you could add to cpu advanced about risc and cisc. diferences betwean arm and x64_86

Thanks for explaining it so well! I learned some new things from this :D

Personally, I like to prioritise storage space over everything else in my computer because I download a ton of games to it and I like to have them open nice and quickly on my SSD, but I still make sure to get a good processor/RAM so that said games run well.

However, when it comes to my processor takes the cake, with RAM in second place. This is because I don't usually use too much storage on my phone, but having 256 GB is still reassuring :p

    Hi Tony,
great and simple definitions make it really easy to understand.

These three parts goes hand in gloves. This is like chain, weaker link will decide overall performance.

If processor is fast but RAM is slower in storing/retrieving the data then it will suck. Also if processor & RAM both are faster but of storage is bit slower then overall performance is dependent of storage speed.

I believe above all these major parts, brain is operating system, which knows how to utilize all these resources to get the highest performance.

I'd love to see them start using a USB 3.0 cable going forward

For me it's all about the ram! I use my phone to run my business so I use it for apps and browsing 90% of the time and for games about 10% of the time. Most of the modern processors can handle that and all smart phones have "ssd" like rom storage. So for me, its the ram that makes the biggest difference. Having all three be amazing like on the OnePlus 7 Pro is just icing on the cake for me [e]1f601[/e]

love the break down and information. As an IT person myself, I try to explain this all the time to the staff when their curious how things work. This was was an awesome explanation... I would definitely prioritize the processor. RAM and storage I feel are modular in some cases of computer builds.

Nice article. There is also a very good tech channel in You Tube, Android explained, where Garry explains very well.
