here is how the screen protector fits with the cases I have.
Ringke Fusion X. this case was well rated but I'm not sure it's the best. it doesn't touch the edges of the Dome Glass. It is supposed to be drop tested to 10 feet but to me it feels lighter and less study than the other two but was only like $15 on Amazon.

this is the clear case I been using since I got the phone in mid July. very protective but has yellowed some around the sides and comes very very close and looks like it may be touching the dome glass slightly on the sides but is OK top and bottom. I did love how this was so clear when I got it and you could see the Nebula Blue.

I have used this line of cases on many past phones. was happy to find it for the 7pro. I think I will be using this case as it won't yellow and seems more sturdy than the Ringke case. It also does not touch the Dome Glass at all, it has a small gap at top and sides, slightly more at the bottom.

sorry for the focus on some of the photos not being so perfect. I had to use my work phone (iPhone 7) to take the photos. I really don't like how it can't focus well close up.

After removing the glass, does that glue comeoff easily? How will it effect the actual screen?

I'm told that it is not a problem. I have Not had to remove mine yet and would hope I don't need to. I can only imagine doing so if it becomes damaged from a drop. any adhesive that leaked out or was left behind after I cured the glue did come off with some rubbing alcohol and a bit of time with a rag

Alcohol isn't bad for oleophobic coating? I'm concerned about oleophobic coating on my screen than anything else. That's why I dont apply anything other than water to clean the screen. Please do update after you remove it sometime later.

the wipes they include do a good job removing the excess adhesive around the edges from the installation and they do have some alcohol in them. I would not clean the installed glass with an alcohol pad as part of normal cleaning. I'd use a soft cloth and a most of a screen cleaner for TV's and monitors or just make the cloth damp.

now if you broke the dome glass and want to clean off the actual phone glass of any adhesive that might be left use alcohol wipes. it would need to be clean to put on a new one.
