Welll it's a tempered glass, depends on how you dropped it. If you dropped it on the edge, then it will eventually crack. Plus, the screen protectors nowadays are thinner then the other ones like for the OnePlus 3T/5.

I have the same issue. My screen is cracking with little or no reason. I understand it is glass but it seems to be cracking with no real cause. No drops since the cracking started (and a drop did not star the cracks. The cracks have spread and new ones have formed from the phone being in my pocket or resting on a table.

Im not really upset with the issue as the phone itself is fine. However it would be nice to know my 'protector' layer will actually protect from something serious over time and not be a one trick pony for 20$.

I really have hard time believing that. I think you might have broken your tempered glass when you sat down while the device was in your pocket and that might have caused your crack because of the pressure

I didn't see anyone complaining so far. The device has been out for 2 months so you must be special cases.
I don't see how keys can crack the screen unless when keys and phone is in your pocket and you sit down and somehow the key puts pressure on the glass.

If you dropped it, depends on how it fell. It can be 1 feet or 2 feet, all depends on luck and how the device fell.
