Q1601002452114 , via OnePlus 8 , Mar 7, 2021 : For those facing black crush or those who think Netflix is too dark to watch.. I have temporary solution for you guys .. download screen balance app... Use these settings while watching content
Arjun_Choudhry , Mar 7, 2021 : Try not to create redundant threads. This solution was already provided on the forums in multiple open threads (by me) 6 months back.
Q1601002452114 , via OnePlus 8 , Mar 7, 2021 : Sorry I didn't know that... What were the settings are you using?
Arjun_Choudhry , Mar 7, 2021 : Fluorescent at 45 percent. After I bought the paid version of the app, I used the RGB scale. R at 255, G at 255, B at 255, strength at 10 percent. For Netflix, when watching HDR content, keep screen balance off, else the screen will look washed out.
Arjun_Choudhry , Mar 7, 2021 : It doesn't depend on model to model, rather the amount of contrast you prefer and the individual display itself. Some displays will have lesser black crush than others. The issue is with the display uniformity. Samsung has been unable to keep it in check, so almost all latest gen AMOLED displays have the issue to varying degrees
Q1601002452114 , via OnePlus 8 , Mar 7, 2021 : I have purchased the pro version.. tell me a general solution?
Arjun_Choudhry , Mar 7, 2021 : Try keeping it somewhere between 30 and 50 percent, else the display will look washed out. Depends completely on your preference. Btw, did you find this solution in the comment section of the Black Crush YouTube video?
Q1601002452114 , via OnePlus 8 , Mar 7, 2021 : I found a video on black crush issue solution on pixel 3 xl
Arjun_Choudhry , Mar 7, 2021 : There is no general solution. Depends on the display itself. My 8 Pro might require Fluorescent at 40% to show the same level of contrast as yours at 50%. The displays will show some variance at the same settings.
Q1601002452114 , via OnePlus 8 , Mar 7, 2021 : If I uninstall the app, would it undo all the settings applied by it?
