    Hello everyone!

    Just got my OnePlus 5 today and I've been loving it so far. However there's one issue that is really messing me up and I don't even know how the heck to Google for a clue. I'm hoping someone on here can give me a fix.

    The text is looking all messed up and I have no idea why. It came like that out of the box. Look at the picture to see what I mean.

    If anyone can give me any sort of advice on how to fix this I'd truly be grateful.

    I got it via a 3rd party reseller since OnePlus doesn't sell in Taiwan anymore. My friend did the same but his phone doesn't have this issue.

    for me, it' a localization problem... Have you tried to change default language of the system? If it doesn't solve the problem, do a factory reset, choosing the correct language and country in the first setup screen... Tell us if it solved your problem...

    Perhaps clean flash would be the best shot. Try clean flash first and see how it goes.

    Looks like it's dirty software. I would suggest you do a clean installation with the ROM's in the download section.

    oh, and DON'T install any banking or pay apps before you've done that. I would also suggest to remove your google account.

    This actually worked. Just changed the default language and it's gone. Thanks a lot man!

    It's either a localization problem as @G_Fernando_Godoy_Joao said, or faulty software as @Scherpenseel said.

    As a precaution I'd go with a clean flash since it should fix both issues and this way you're sure you're clean from possible malicious software.

    Great to hear, but I'd still do a clean flash if I were you.

    Shouldn't One plus put an advisory out not to buy phone from third party. The Software switch is a major problem.

    Contact the support they get in touch with you and do it over your laptop connection.
    Hope it resolves your issue. I'm on second call this week.

    Sorry if this sounds stupid but I've been waiting for weeks to get the phone. My previous phone had loads of issues and I'm enjoying finally having a good phone for a change jaja. Think you could just guide me through it so I don't have to wait for support?
