In my eyes that's the worst solution ever. The reason is that you make a nav bar that set automatically to the theme colour of each app.

So OnePlus had to contact all the application makers to adjust there application only for the nav bar of the OnePlus. No one will even do this, besides that if OnePlus can do that they will the first phone company who has the power of how the application makers should make there code to give YOU the auto adjust nav bar XD.

It will be a nice future, but it never gone happened.

Its functional on other roms, and even lineage handles nav bar colour in better way than oos.

Using all white will reduce life span of the light cell, I really don't think it's a design to combat burn in.

It works but it doesn't give you the right colour. It could be fine for you. Keep in mind if they apply this you phone will never be smooth in opening apps. For example, you need a code to get the colour of the theme the app has to apply for it. The colour code is given now it should be set to the theme code. This looks simple but it isn't that simple as it seems. Custom roms don't give you all the function which OnePlus uses to make more than one person happy.

AMOLED screens are prone to burn in with a black background on the screen for a long period of time though. Since the light turns off completely on a black background with AMOLED it could actually burn in permanently if not careful.
I have to constantly run a jscreenfix on my PS Vita original just to make sure the screen doesn't burn in after playing for a long period of time.

The demand for an themed nav bar is high. I all oneplus forums there is threads on how to theme the nav bar. Todays solution is flawed.

    Are you sure about that?
And not as common as LEDs though.
I honestly haven't ever had a burn in on an LCD.

Or 5-10 minutes of jscreenfix would probably work too.

Most of them stick to one colour they prefer. I don't want a nav bar that changes in colours if I open certain apps after each other. I prefer to use gestures over the nav bar even the gestures isn't that fine tuned already.

That's ghosting, not burn in. Burn in is permanent.

As said above, that is a ghosting effect. Burn in is permanent and only happens to organic LEDs.

Worst of all is that the gesture and navibar apps solution don't work if you are used to the splitscreen mode.
