The 2nd SIM on OnePlus Nord stops working via OnePlus Nord Blue Marble

  1. arminder , via OnePlus Nord Blue Marble , Aug 7, 2020 :
I had Redmi Note 6 Pro earlier with Airtel in SIM1 and Jio in SIM2. Both were active with 4G and Volte support. Never faced any issues with any of the SIM not working.

Moved both SIMs to my new Nord, Airtel on SIM1 and Jio on SIM2. Now my Jio goes unreachable on its own. Stop receiving calls and SMS. If I try to call from 2nd SIM, it doesn't go through and disconnect immediately. I have to either restart phone or disable and re-enable SIM2 or change to Airplane mode and back to have my SIM2 working again. I immediately receive held SMS, not sure if I get them all. And then it goes offline again later. Not sure how long it works.

That's a big hassle. Nord is my first OnePlus phone and start isn't what I was planning. Please help get this fixed. I have both SIM active on preferred 4G in the settings.

    Hi guys:
    it's 100%?
    1. I suggest you first consult the carrier's network support
    2. Not working means there is no signal or cannot be detected
    3. If there is no signal suggestion, you can provide log to oneplus engineer, they can check and solve it, if it is unable to detect, suggest you to replace the device

The signal shows full on status bar, but it doesn't work as in that I no longer could make calls using second SIM and nor could receive calls and texts on it. But if I disable and then re-enable SIM2 from settings, it's working again. Or restart phone or toggle Airplane mode on and back to off.

But while it's working, it works fine without any issues. Just stop working on its own.

I have purchased the same handset and I am also facing the same issue. I am not able to use my Jio number, which is my primary number.
    What's the way out?

Just adding here for others that here's a fun part, though I can't call out or receive calls and texts, the Data/4G/LTE still works fine, which is really weird and I am getting 10-20 Mbps on it.

So, I don't understand what the heck is wrong here?

Maybe you can provide the screenshot of the SIM & Network settings.
Which SIM is your default data SIM?
Do you turn on VoLTE for JIO SIM card in SIM setting?
JIO only supports VoLTE Call. If your VoLTE is disabled for JIO, it might cause such issue you described.

    @arminder.
As i can see your device is not camped on VoLTE/Vo-WIFI for Jio operator that's why you are not able to make calls & data. can you please reset APN settings once. or please collect the logs & shared with us.

    Hi all,
I too have the same problem
My connections are Airtel and JIO
Even my JIO doesn't work for calls/otps/messages but I can use mobile data without any issue. And i noticed that VOLTE symbol for my jio(SIM2) doesn't appear much and sometimes it blinks like visible for a moment and goes invisible. Please solve this issue. I am unable to use my sim for calls/text messages

Same problem happened with me. Day 1st I got signal for few minutes after that there is no signal at all. I have try everything but no signal at all. And my 2nd phone is iPhone 11 which has full network in both sim. I was thinking one plus can be replaced iPhone but I was wrong. I will never buy anh OnePlus products and not recommend to my family and friends.
