I've tried pretty much all of them, Nova is hands down the best imo

It should but you need a plug in called Apex Notifier for that.

Having owned an M7 & M8 I have used Nova Launcher on both without any issues. Easy to back up your layout and import over when you change devices. As I've stated previously it's in my opinion the best launcher out there

another cool feature with the latest nova is that it has android l esque customization settings, such as animations and folder icons

I'll give the cop out answer and say that there isn't one best Android launcher, it depends on what's best for you.

I like Aviate for times when I want a simpler, unified, and clean experience.

I like Google Now when I want a stock like experience with Google now one swipe away.

I like Nova when I want to tweak details myself in terms of icons, grid size, animations etc.

I like the HTC sense launcher for Blinkfeed and flat design.

And Smart Launcher of a cool tech demo but I wouldn't be able to use it daily.

All these reasons point to the One+, which can offer or emulate the best of all launchers better than any other device....

But alas, no invite for me.

The Google Now Launcher is great if you use the Xposed GEL Settings module. You of course need to rooted though. You'll get google with one swipe plus with the Xposed mod you can customize a lot of things like the search bar, icons, folders, the app drawer etc.

I usually go with either Apex or Nova. Right now I'm using Apex, but I've heard that there's been a lot of development on Nova recently, so I wanna check that out.

Nova is very polished, looks just like stock, and has the most customizable features I've seen on any launcher (besides go launcher, ew).

Nova. It just works, is smooth, beautiful and customizable. I use it for my Tablet as well. Consider investing in the Prime version for more animations and stuff.
