IMHO, this is the best way to solve your issue:
    This is much easier:
    fastboot -w update cm-11.0-XNPH33R-bacon-signed-fastboot.zip
The latest factory image can be downloaded at

    It really worked.

I found the filename too long so I copied the command into a batch file.

It said it didn't have the system, boot, and flash sig files along with tos.img but it installed cyanogenmod kitkat 4.4.4 nonetheless.

I never got an invite so I went ahead and ordered elsewhere that turned out to be the Chinese version.

It had the original cyanogenmod rom on it but it never updated.

Being a first time android user, I tried rooting as shown by vmk2310 here: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/how-to-root-the-opo-for-people-who-want-to.39659/

ADB never recognized it but I got around it via one's bootloader.

I was really starting to despair then I stumbled onto webpatrick's post.

Now I have the latest and greatest rom.

    Questions for oneplus/cyanogenmod:

Is that file I used to flash my opo legitimate?

Where are the full signed official rom packages?

Why won't my Chinese opo do ota update?

Please support the Chinese opo that has cyanogenmod on it so it can do regular ota update.

Don't be elitists and discrimate against those of us who have your Chinese version.

    Please reply, oneplus/cyanogenmod.
