My reason are:
1. After having 2 accounts on OPO forums 1 more than a month old and this my main account, I was able to get 1 invite but had to give it away to a person more in need. But to get another invite hmm... been days now with lots of hours of my life wasted here pressing refresh button and looking around.
2. Pre Order system said order process will begin after 1 month and later site didn't work to order. So yeah couldn't order and even if I ordered one, it would take forever.
3. 5.5 inch display and put a big case on it later, hmm... just realized its giant specially if u r a girl. It doesn't suit me.
4. I am not a person who want to fix bugs on phone every other week due to bugged updates and all. Customer service is also no no. People having this and that issues, well I don't mind working on that but I gota install this rom or that... I can't do that. I depend on official updates, though they seem not perfect. OPO future plans I am sure would be to have stock android and get rid of this crap cyanogen mode. This cyanogen is good for developers the most.
5. You can't beg but you gotta do it in a style. Meaning spend hours on forums here and there. Thank God website is simple looking so people can spend time on the forums. Community is nice to stick around so I will stick around. Moderators gotta love them since they nice. Even than invite system is not that great.
I will tell you why invite system was added by OPO.
(a) New company so how will you get attention? Yup add flagship killer features but that ain't enough. There are some phone brands who got those but still no one like them. Well OPO been situated in US makes a big difference. (oh US company, nice!) Also most people who spend a lot on phone are situated in North America. We love new phone every 6 months, and would feel like getting fresh piece in 8 months.
(b) Invite system is what attracts you to OPO as well. Apart of the cool design and specs, invites system does make you come here and feel the urge to win an invite. Once you get in the forums and all, you hook up. Its like a game to win an invite. Your mind says, damn I want OPO cuz now its a niche device. Hard to get one. If they make it no invite system, meh you won't think so much about OPO. They want you to buy it, but first feel the pain to get one.
(c) Price is awesome yes but only if you live in US. Other countries it will cost at $480+
4. OPO is great company and I hope more comes with such cool design and specs. Would be nice they ship from Canada within and expand so its cheaper and no customs. Customer service gota get better. 5.5 inch not for me. Its too big and bugs on the phone I can't handle.
Great phone but cyanogen mode is no no for me. Also OPO size is too big and I cant put think about keeping that size for next 2 years atleast. Lets see what OPO 2 bring out. I bought HTC M8 gold and I love it. I can't wait for an invite as my present phone doesn't charge and I love to stay in touch with my mom every day through phone.
