It's a hypothetical situation, as I already said in the original post the internet is not going anywhere.

    Call those who are unreachable
    Watch something funny and playable
Play a last game of ludo
    And that video of judo

    The internet is shutting down
    Free callings down, total shutdown
    No binge watching laying around
Cause Its a last round of knockdown

Its not a curse its a blessing
World will be real no more bluffing
No more video call, voice call or chatting
    We go analogue, to lettering

I suppose this would be the appropriate time to announce to the world that I have secretly created a functional time machine, hit that enter key, and "Marty McFly" it back to the past to resolve this dilemma. Bam! Resolved. It already happened, you just can not remember. Peace. What year next?

Woah this is an interesting topic. I hope this never happens :D
    What I would do:
    1. Most important thing: set up a zoom call with all my friends that I got to know on this forum. They live all around the world and normally I speak to them every day. When internet is gone thats gonne be a lot harder.
    2. During that zoom call I would download all my stuff from google drive and possible other cloud platforms.
    3. I would download as much software as I can for when I need it some day: from github, lineage roms, whatever...
    4. Download Netflix things, download the whole of pirate bay or whatever illegal source there is :)
    5. Enjoy the last moments on zoom from point 1.

Remember: networking would not die when the internet goes offline. So your local network will keep working. Your local storage keeps working. If your work environment has a lot of local servers: it keeps working. No need to go and download all that stuff if you already have it in your local network ;)

This is also a good time to think about your backups: make sure you have most important stuff somewhere locally stored, in multiple devices (if one dies). You might need it when cloud services go offline :)

I'll talk to friends abroad while downloading some movies, web series, books and music.

And then, I'll be back to my traveling, books and actual physical meetings with family and friends. No social media to make me an addict.

Stop spreading rumours. As it is internet is the only good thing in 2020 and you want that to go as well?
