I appreciate the clarification on the word count. I've always been one to stick to the instructions, but seeing some winning entries over 250 was a bit of a bummer. Great tips!

    Hey guys,
In the application there is a text box and you are required to write a review for your current device.
It's opened up to 10,000 letters, so how much exactly should be written? And should the review be written in a special style (everyone got their style), or be written purely?

Well, as they say, age is just a number. ;)
The text field accepts a max of 10,000 letters however that doesn't mean you have to write 10,000 letters.

As far as what to write is is concerned, that's all you. How you want to write it and how much you want to write is upto you, just keep in mind that there are a lot more people applying so do add your secret sauce to make it stand out. ;)

Sorry that I'm asking alot, just very interested in it.😅

If I did bad in the 1st phase, can I cover that with a better application in the 2nd phase?
Or I would have created a not good enough impression, so that limits my chances in phase 2?

Finally, "the device review" should be focused on cameras or the whole thing?

    Thanks for your efforts.

    Hey there,

As Crystal Z. already mentioned here:
You can apply for both phase 1 & 2 of the lab.

And since these are running at two different times, I don't think you're evaluated on the basis of your entry in phase 1. You should have equal chances.

Your can choose to review the device however you want, you can either focus on one aspect or provide an overall review. But that is only for phase 1. We will have to wait and see what the requirements are for phase 2, as and when it opens.

You can choose to review any device of your choice. You can attach your 3 best picture you've taken using a smartphone / provide an Instagram link to the said pictures.

I have a question regarding the photo upload. On Instagram you can upload more than 1 picture in the same post, so can we take advantage of that and upload more than 3 photos for our review? 🤔
