Thanks for your insights thus far ,
I really appreciated the fingerprint animations gifs.
Is there anything you would call a strange or missing feature on the 6T from your use so far?

I really miss the headphone jack. I'm a headphone / earphone enthusiast and having a headphone jack usually is a dealbreaker for me. On that note, it'd be nice if OnePlus gave us the option to use the second SIM card tray for a micro SD card; for me, this is about having the ability to transfer my music without having to connect my phone to my computer. But I'm sure other people wouldn't oppose to having expandable memory for their photos and other such files.

I'm still looking forward to the day OnePlus gives us stereo speakers, though. I thought it was kind of weird that they included a second speaker grill on the bottom of the phone for symmetry, which unfortunately, still gets covered by my palm when I'm gaming. It is what it is.

    52°? Fire!:rage:
I guess OP still think thermal cooling is not required and that they must still ignore safe thermal limits.

Hm, I'm not sure if they can ignore safety regulations.

But, in my mind, if Samsung Note 9 has a dedicated liquid cooling system and if gaming phones continue to make their way into the smartphone market, I expect OnePlus to respond appropriately.

I'm not so sure about that.
Copper sinks and thermal paste have been around for donkeys years, yet OP don't seem to want to use them.
When i say safe thermal limits i mean not following recommended throttling limits. OP push well above that hence every device brings about the same reports of excessive heat.
If you wanna push the limits, you should protect you customers outlay with a thermal cooling solution.

You bring up a good point. But, weirdly enough, the OnePlus 6T is the first device I've had from OnePlus that exhibits this heating issue.

I guess what surprises me most is the fact that the OnePlus 6T was made thicker than previous OnePlus flagships, yet it still doesn't have any major improvements for thermal cooling. Hm...

Perhaps the problem lies in the fact that OnePlus hasn't designed or improved on their phone chassis for years, but that's just me shooting in the dark.

I have already mentioned before the 6T's was release it would run hot, I said that becuse I knew they would go hunting for more performnce.
But 52°c that needs addressing asap.
