Hey, I bought a 7pro couple of weeks before and i feel that the battery is draining quickly..can anyone tell how much percentage of battery will be consumed during the standby(i.e, after you wake up from sleep)

Hi, I upgraded to 7Pro from 5T. Came across an issue with Bluetooth connection with Car (VW) once the phone (7 pro) gets connected to car, mobile data is switched off and a persistent notification "bluetooth sim access" 'Request client to disconnect' appears. This was not the case with 5T.

I am more concerned about the data connection being switched off. Any workaround for this?

I think double tap to wake also gets turned on in the pocket. And if you are connected to a trusted smart device, it again gets unlocked inside the pocket. For me it always ends up switching the airplane mode on

A simple thing I'd suggest is to try keeping the phone in your pocket such that the screen faces outwards, and not towards the thigh.
If you're using resulted devices then the phone would always stay unlocked. Still, I think they'll implement a fix soon. Report it using the feedback tool.

@AnonymousWP were you really happy with the pics shot on any of the 3 cameras?

    Hello team,

I had a clarification regarding the protection. Why one plus had opted for gorilla glass 5 rather than gorilla glass 6 which was present in one plus 6t?

It's the app. And check if the app needs an update, they keep rolling out updates

That would be cool, but it's not technically feasible.

Even in white or almond or blue phones, the camera assembly is black. That is to prevent light from going to the sensor off-angle. This is called light bleed.

See, light sources would be literally ON TOP of the camera sensor, such as if the camera is in-display, the dominant source of light would be the LEDs of the display and not the pictures we want. So, I don't think this would happen anytime soon.

That is not a problem at all. That is how lithium batteries work, toward the end of their charging cycle (when it gets close to 100%) they slow down a lot. It's part of the chemistry of a battery, you're always going to get faster charging at lower percentages.

If I had to guess, I'd say that the curved screen used here uses GG 5 instead of 6. The equipment is sourced from Samsung, ultimately.

Moreover, Gorilla Glass 6 is more scratch resistant, so it is more brittle. That means a higher chance of breakage both during manufacturing and in daily use.

That sounds like a bug, or possibly conflicting settings. I'm sorry that's not much help, but my best advice would be to report it both to OnePlus and to the app manufacturer.

Standby battery use seems to be the same as other phones.
about 1% for 90 minutes ish, though that will change with signal reception.

The phone does use battery quickly, I felt that too. But then I've also seen that the battery bar is NOT linear. So even without battery saver, battery drains slower after 30%

These are just my opinions though, don't think that I've actually tested it in a synthetic manner.

It was either cheaper or easier to make the phone with Gorilla Glass 5, and they are roughly equivalent in terms of their scratch-resistance. I believe both Gorilla Glass 5 and 6 are used on new phones today.
