How much is data transfer speed versus previous generation phones?

Way better. Transferring data from my 3 to my pc was a true hell. With the 7 Pro this is really much better. I've talked about it in my review as well.
I also haven't dropped the phone yet. But as for protection there are a lot of case options from OnePlus and from 3rd party. As for screen protectors, I would recommend WhiteStone Dome, a little pricey but definitely best quality and a lifetime guarantee
Is the finger print scanner on par with non under screen finger print scanners?
I'd say it's the quickest in the market tbh
it's super fast and accurate. Rarely do I have to reposition my finger to get it to recognize. Just as quick as the ones on my 3, 5, and 6
Slower than side mounted ones.
And definitely not as good as the ultrasonic one's like on the S10/+. Neither as accurate, nor as quick. But you'll notice that only if you're coming from one of those two phones. Otherwise it's pretty good.
Pretty much yes. It's even quicker than my 3 as you can see in this comparison I made: [The Lab] A OnePlus 7 Pro review - By AnonymousWP (Updated on 17-06-2019)
But to be honest I doubt if it's faster than a capacitive scanner of the 6. Probably on par or a little faster.
I'd say at first I did not think so, but over time and after a few software updates it is 99% as reliable. I came from an iPhone with touch ID 2 which is incredibly fast, but honestly the switch was not a big deal at all. Keep in mind it's more of a rest than a press, for best results. I mentioned this in my review. https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/...review-by-technominute.1035803/#post-20369900
The fingerprint scanner on the OnePlus 7 Pro is at par with the scanner on the OnePlus 6, both in terms of speed and accuracy. Both of them unlock at basically the same speed. It is fast, and the only thing is that you need time to get used to putting the finger at the right spot.
That being said, you might take a week to adjust to keeping your finger at the right spot, but then it becomes muscle memory.
Bleed blue x
I got the mirror gray variant
I opened the case they gave to the reviewers before the actual phone. I have not used the transparent case on the phone at all, I like the Karbon case that much.
I realised the phone is heavy. The curved screen looks pretty good, and I actually did feel like this is a Galaxy Note rather than something from OnePlus. The grey version actually looks neutral and rather professional, but I instantly realised that the Nebula Blue variant would have looked much better for a college student like me xD
Overall, a pretty gosh-darn pretty phone. But the
