[The Lab] OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition - faster than you can imagine

  1. MC_XIX , via OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition , Dec 9, 2019 :
I've been using the McLaren Edition for exactly one month now, and it's fantastic. The charging speed is incredible, the screen is outstanding and the overall speed is mind-blowing. My only gripe is the lack of cache clearing option. I know it's common on Android phones for there to be no way to clear cache quickly, but my S8 before this had a cache wipe feature which also boosted RAM in about 3 seconds. On this phone, cache builds up rapidly and I have to go into each individual app to clear its cached data to free up storage.

I don't know if we're talking about the same thing but if you reboot your phone and hold down the power and volume down button you can go into a bootloader menu that will allow you to clear your cache.

IDK why you would want to clear cache or your ram. empty ram is wasted ram on Android and cache helps apps work faster because they don't have to re download anything. the phone already has a ton of storage, I don't care takes up too much of it.

Yes. It's impressive, but there are a bug, at least in my version Oxygen OS 10.0.4: when any app use GPS the network signal and WiFi drops.
It's a really good phone, I really like it... but these bug is so annoying!!!

holding down the power button and volume down button takes screenshots instead of rebooting

yes indeed the device is really awesome, but I am experiencing issues with data transfer using WiFi direct. probably it's because I am a new OnePlus user

    best regards
