I would like a speaker on the face because my hands block the speakers while playing games. I use a Bluetooth headset, but unfortunately the Bluetooth is unreliable. Also, the jack takes away from being waterproof, so loss the headphone Jack's all together. Wireless is the future

You know didn't really have a problem with no headphone port
i mean it still is useful for Mics, Aux etc.
    but rather be wireless.:D
    No more wires

Great decision if you ask me. I use the jack literally everywhere. Whatever sound system has an input, the jack connects you. This cannot be replaced with wireless.

As for future, then perhaps create a wireless set of headphones, in-ear and / or over the ear, that corresponds to the brilliant codecs and DAC systems present in OnePlus 5T.

I agree it's a good thing that the headphone jack was retained but I the quality of sound from the the phone is very muffled. I have tried playing with the Audio Tuner but that also didn't seem to help. I have audiophile headphones and the sound coming from them feel so rich when connected to my laptop or my old phone but with this it sounds so bleak. I don't know if it's some software or hardware problem, I had reported this earlier as well but no one ever took any response.

That's a very good decision taken by OnePlus. It is better to use your favorite headphones instead of buying wireless headphones along with the phone and spending more.

Plus the speakers are pretty loud and clear.

    Thumbs Up for that[e]1f44d[/e][e]1f44d[/e][e]1f44d[/e][e]1f44d[/e][e]1f44d[/e]

it's good to see that you have not removed the headphone jack but what about quality worst even midrange phones are coming with dedicated DAC but no DAC in op 5t example

Boo. There's literally nothing about having a headphone jack that prevents YOU from using wireless, but many people still use wired for several reasons.
Not having a choice is too Apple for my taste.

its time to remove the jack and replace it with a screen notch. screen notch is very useful feature. more useful than a jack.
