    Keeping headphone jack is a good choice (mainstream is not ready for going without it). But if you want to give customers superior sound experience, maybe adding excellent DAC+amplifier would be way to go. As some pointed out, I think OP need to focus more on software then just throwing at us newer hardware.

    For whatever advantages a USB C port may offer over 3.5 mm jack, there is a unique advantage of having 2 separate ports:

    1. Increased longevity of the port itself
    2. Ability to use the earphone whilst charging

    Personally, I wouldn’t mind a second USB port as a replacement for the headphone jack, especially as it helps in keeping the device slim.

    if by removing the headphone jack the phone becomes thinner, then why make it thinner ? why not add a bigger battery ? how about a 4500 or 5000 mah battery ?
