The OnePlus 8T is the best OnePlus so far. Here's why.

Hi, you don't know how right you are, I am coming from a 7 pro and thought silly me I would upgrade :)) the 2 reasons were 120hz and that sweet fast charging. While those 2 reasons do work rather well, all the audio and video experience on the 8t is beneath the 7 pro. Play games? the bigger uninterrupted screen is better; watch a lot of videos? sound is louder and clearer on the 7 pro and also the display on 8t whilst being brighter...has green and magenta fringing and is only 1080p (honestly while comparing them I wanted to cry). Oh and not to mention the crappy hollow vibration haptics. The fact that also the phone comes with a bucket load of preventable bugs ruins the experience for me. Android 11 is maybe another 3-6 months away from being stable. This phone is so bad that I just bought it now and I am considering selling it already. The Oneplus 9 (flat screen) better blow my f8 mind or I'm saying goodbye to this company which started losing its way software and hardware wise.

Android 11 is stable, however OP OS 11 is not for some.
I would have gone with 8 pro or wait for the 9 pro

Batter life sucks ! The wrap charging Takes more than 36 the expected time , The noticed since the first time I use it .
And battery life is Not upto the point , 14 days ago the first day I played the same Pokemon go game It didn't drain much energy , Yesterday It drained like 10% in 80 mins , today poor 10% 100-90 in 40 mins it sucks .

I kind of feel you on that but as curves go the 8 and 8 pro are very small in the curve.

I hear the 9 pro is more flat and I am excited about that.

They released a stable version of OS 11.
Not trying to upset you, but technically they are not responsible for anything, once the device leaves the warehouse and gets to you and you open it and they clearly state what they are willing to do for customers and all cellular phones manufacturers do exactly the same thing.
I do feel for you having issues and not enjoying the product that you payed for.
You could back up everything on your device and try running OS 10 and see how that works. You could also try backing everything up and doing a factory reset and let it take it's own time setting up and doing all the updates, including getting the latest 11.0.2.2
Best of luck and I hope you find a solution soon.

    For anyone

Here is a list of thing's that you should do before doing any systems update on Android or IOS

First update all of your Apps from the app/play store or check for the latest updates. Keep third party apps to as much a minimum as possible and only trusted apps.

If any are updated then completely shut down your phone and then turn it back on after they all finished updating, do not do quick reboot.

Second before doing the installation, download the updated OS and once more, shut down and restart fully.

Third do the system update and let it do the quick reboot and make sure you do not do anything with your device until it finishes the final installation.

Fourth, test out your apps and functions for any anomaly and then use your device until the battery is completely zero or at least 10% and give it a full uninterrupted (DO NOT USE IT AT ALL) charge to 100%

Follow these four simple steps and you should avoid any issues with most software and firmware updates causing any problems.

At least you can rest knowing that you (The User) did everything to minimize any issues.

Hopefully this will be of help to someone.

Interesting that you have a newer core but a lesser security update.

In the United States I have November security update and running 11.0.2.2 core system.
