The OnePlus 8T is the best OnePlus so far. Here's why.

    I also came from Samsung.
I bought direct from OnePlus and have had no issues. Android 11 has created some bugs for other versions of 8 T, but mine is stable! No issues and I use it for work and personal everyday for months

Oneplus has features that have been with them for years that some other brands are only getting recently. They are ahead of the curve still..

Watch some YouTube videos on features and see for your self

    Oneplus needs to optimise cameras.
Those are not great photos some are under exposed and some are over exposed.
If oneplus optimises the shutter speed properly and the photos would be sharp.
We have a huge horse power machine (865).
But poor turbo charger(camera) couldn't intake light as much as possible and process it.

Expecting snappy photos from latest updates from oneplus.
    Thanks

So... You've bought the OnePlus 8 Pro and the 8T?

I am curious about the reason why you think the 8T sucks. Is there any specific reason or just the overall lack of feature upgrades compared to the OnePlus 8 Pro?

I see the OnePlus 8T a iteration on the 8 and not the 8 Pro, but that could just be my vision.

BTW, the OnePlus 8T does come with a clear case and even if it didn't come with one... it's not part of the main product. And as far as I knew the launch price of the OnePlus 8 Pro was $899 while the 8T was $599.

    Little bit of background information:
I'm a long time OnePlus consumer, but with all of my phone upgrades I do check the alternatives from other brands. Also... within my group of friends, colleagues and family I'm the default guy to give phone advice. In the past years I've rarely recommended a OnePlus phone, just because it didn't fit their needs.

Hopefully everyone will be up and running and full of Joy and not complaints!

Thank you OnePlus for sharing to fix issue with Android 11 and

I love the 8t, I find it fantastic for value for money but I have noticed that it has a strong gray and black retention problem (amoled smearing) and many users complain about it. It is something quite annoying.

I have to say I am super impressed with this phone thus far. I had been hoping to get the Asus Zenfone 7 but it's unavailable in my country as was the 6. So last time I settled for the razor phone 2 because of a sale and I hated it with a passion.

This phone after a lot of research became my choice after deciding on it over the pixel. The macro was the main thing for me. After ordering it I watched a bunch of videos saying that they hated it and wanted a telephoto lens (I do not because I like close ups and could care less about far shots). Yes the macro is finicky but it works great for what I want.

It's my first oneplus phone and if they continue to release in north america it won't be my last!

Except for design, I think it's fair to say it's a good One Plus. I've been using the device for close to 100 days now. I feel the biggest let down of the phone is its design.
In terms of aesthetics, I still remember when I first walked into the OnePlus store, I almost bought the One Plus 7T because it looked much better and also felt so good to hold. In comparison, 8T is worse. Coming to usability, you can't use the phone in potrait mode for more than 30-45 mins. Cos your wrists start to ache. For gaming it's an absolute beast (cos most games are in landscape mode) But for reading especially it is really is poor! Would love to hear experiences from fellow 8T owners.

I have been using my 8t for 20 days, I am doing very well, even if the amoled smearing (the bluish / purplish trail that follows the blacks and the grays) bothers me a little. Why is the device bad for reading?

after doing a clean install of the latest OOS for my 8T, the Google Assistant voice detection doesn't work and just 1 week after the installation, i'm getting the same audio/video issues from before:

    - can't talk to people on the phone as they can't hear me
    - if i play youtube or video from another app, the sound is muted and the video stutters

if i didn't have a small scratch on the bottom of this pile of misery i'd send it back immediately.

I'm not sure whether this phone is an actual beast. The software not optimise . The battery life as just as bad as phones from 2 to 3 years back.

Using it since 1 Jan 2021, coming from Pixel 3A XL
    Previous One Plus - One, 3T, 6T, & 7

Only issues, connection thru Android Auto, Media Playing, Spotify & YT Music, sound jumping from Car Speaker & Phone Speaker

The rest is okay, and as expected

I've come from a Note 10+ and prior to that only iPhone flagships. I absolutely adore the 8t. Its all the phone you need. Flat screen, 120hz, charging , battery life. I am using though the cyberpunk variant on Hydrogen OS ... Have Google play side loaded and no issues for me in day to day use. One quirk is my left fingers struggle to unlock the phone. Right fingers no issues ... Anyone have the same ?

Untrue ... By the end of the day I'm on 30% at least ... Far better than my Note 10+ ... This running 120hz and using the phone a lot (calls, Nav, internet, social media, camera )
