Yea but most companies show good pics for selling the phone, but might have to use manual mode have a slow autofocus or other issues

Man that comparison is awesome, if this phone can pull off those kind of stills then we have something that none of the top players in the industry could pull off... A true compact camera replacement, hope it's all true

The Depth of Field is amazing...
As a filmmaker, I allways wanted to have a phone that provides pictures like this.

But Android never satisfied me in this category. Nor HTC's, nor Samsung..
And I'd never by an iPhone..
Now my problem is solved, probably :)

    It really is...
I saw the comparison with Nikon and there are aspects, where the Oneplus loses, of course, it's phone against a professional mirror camera (is this the right expression??), but still, the lens allows the phone to do things that were unthinkable in recent past and it definitely looks more "cinematic" then anything I had in my hands..

I wouldn't doubt it, especially when the OnePlus's camera is made by Sony. As stated, the OnePlus smartphone has a 13-megapixel camera with a Sony Exmor IMX 214 sensor.

I can see the difference between the Nikon and the OnePlus but considering you're talking a DSLR to a camera phone it's actually very impressive! And the video is lovely!

I actually think that this might be the best camera on a smartphone in the market right now

Also, this may be a dumb question, but does the camera have OIS? (Optical Image Stabilization)
