    I understand the idea but I think there are a lot of us who have purposely delayed buying a new phone in order to get the OnePlus One. Now we are going to have to either wait longer in the hope we get an invitation or decide that we can't wait and buy something inferior. Personally, I'm willing to wait a reasonable amount of time but I know that some people are really pushing it with old phones that have seen better days.

    Well an invite would be nice, but I can see this leading to people selling invites on eBay, as happened with Gmail invites. Sending to everyone registered here prior to launch might help Or maybe letting people ore-Order old style with a longer wait. Asking random people on forums I don't know for an invite to buy something isn't great, if it takes more than half an hour to get an invite to order. :p

    Given that there are apparently 5,364 forum members, I would 'hope' they have more that than for first lot of stock. Surely as mentioned give all current forum members an invite to start with and then open up the 'friends' part?

    Good system ! I am hoping to have an invite since I am waiting to get a new phone ( mine is dead). And I would like a one plus but if I can't have it soon, i'll have to go for a wiko smartphone (in France). I hope my prayers of getting a one plus one will be answered . Lol :)
