The OnePlus Nord pre-order pack is a huge scam - beware! via OnePlus 7 Pro

    Storytime - So I tried pre-ordering a OnePlus Nord for my girlfriend even before the presentation. The first week of course I didn't get it (just 100 for sale) but the second week I got lucky and scored one of the first 1,000

    The thing arrived 2 days ago and being excited as hell, we just unpacked it a few minutes ago. We were both pretty thrilled for the mysterious pre-order bonus..... WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE A BOX!
    Yes, you heard right, the pre-order bonus is just a bigger, otherwise empty box around the standard retail packaging. Couldn't believe it myself first but the support just confirmed.
    Now I didn't have very high hopes BUT AN EMPTY BOX?? Come on Oneplus, you gotta be kidding me. At the very least, one of those cool new cases should have been included. That is just a joke, especially considering that Prime costumers get 30€ off without any pre-order. Shame on you, OnePlus, that's misleading advertising

    In Whitch Country you Pre-ordered? I Pre-ordered in Czechia And got box and OnePlus Buds.On order there we're 5 mystery gifts and if you pick the right one you got Buds if different one Case or screen protector.

    I think what happend here, was that the gifts were 'out of stock' for a few minutes, maybe hours.
    So you couldn't choose a gift and now you have just a box.
    A lot of people said they had sometimes 2-3 options or none at all, but after a little while all the (5) gifts come back again and they ordered then.

    I hope this was just a glitch and not done on purpose by OnePlus.
    Whatever the reason was, I really think they need to find a solution for this.
    Everyone who bought with a pre-order should at least get something good.

    I'm pretty sure the gifts could not be chosen when the OP ordered, could you perhaps look into this.

    Well, the support chat has been as helpful as usual. They essentially said "If you only got the box, that's all there was and that's all you'll get"

    I tried arguing with the guy in the chat but to no avail.
    I decided to write a complaint mail after that and they're already taking a look at it. I'll keep you updated when there's news
