The OnePlus One apparantly has BT speaker functionality?

So just now, I paired my phone to my computer via Bluetooth because I wanted to easily transfer some files.

When I paired them, my OnePlus One instantly began playing the sound my computer was playing before. I checked my sound settings and apparantly the OnePlus One can be used as a Bluetooth speaker. Neat!

I'm not sure whether this is a OnePlus One or Cyanogen feature (my Moto G running stock Android 4.4.4 isn't capable of doing this) but it's a cool feature nonetheless!

Yep! As long as you have a Bluetooth-equipped computer you should be fine. It works with my iPad too!

I can also use it as a playback device for my Moto G, yes. I think it can output sound for any device capable of connecting with a Bluetooth speaker since it just acts like one.

To be able to connect with a Bluetooth speaker, your computer has to be equipped with a Bluetooth chip (or dongle) as well.

I'm familiar with computer components etc, but a bluetooth chip? Are we talking about on the motherboard? Or just a usb device type dongle type thing?

My laptop, like all Macs, has a built-in Bluetooth chip, yes. Some computers may not have that, and in that case you could just as well use a Bluetooth dongle (USB stick).

That is awesome.. can you check if you can essentially bluetooth computer audio to the phone and then listen to it through headphones? That could make it an awesome way of sharing audio throughout the house
