    Download Speed Faceoff.png

This week, we saw in Forbes that OpenSignal has listed the OnePlus 7 Pro as the fastest phone in America when it comes to 4G download speeds. Well to be specific, they said:

“OnePlus 7 Pro has the paciest download speeds of any handset in the United States."
(Learned a new word today, paciest.)

    Forbes chart.jpg

We know it’s one thing to read these impressive accolades about the OnePlus 7 Pro online and another to experience the speed of our devices IRL. Hence, the following community challenge:

If you have the OnePlus 7 Pro and another device in your household, we invite you to participate in our DL Speed Faceoff. The first 100 people to post their results will have their choice of a Black or White Sandstone case.

    Here’s how to enter:
    1. Set up your two devices according to the conditions below.
    2. Open fast.com and start your file download*
    3. Share a screenshot of your final speed result for each device.
*Note: The tests do not have to be done at the same time. If for example you only have one sim card between two devices, performing the test within the same hour should be fine.

The following conditions must be the same in your setup for the comparison to be valid:
    • On the same 4G carrier network
    • Hard-rebooted with all background apps closed (ie turned off and then on. The number of apps open can affect download speeds)
    • Fully charged or at the same battery level
    • Flat on the same surface for the duration of the test
Standard terms and conditions apply for this US-region giveaway. Looking forward to seeing your results!

    Hey OnePlus Community!

Thank you to everyone who has participated so far. We are having stock issues with the White Sandstone case at this time, and will only be able to offer the prize in Sandstone Black. If you are still interested in claiming the prize or an alternate prize offering, please PM me directly. We will get this taken care of :) Thank you for your understanding - this thread is now closed due to the aforementioned issue.

So I'm the first I'm assuming? Ok here you go :)

Here's my submission, 2 different sims but done at the same time...almost, same carrier: T-Mobile
Both at 89%, same surface level. All apps are closed and phones were rebooted and left idle for 2 mins.
I'm in a basement in my University, so yeah, low speeds xd. Averages at 30, but basement is playing a heavy factor here.

IPhone X max also on T-Mobile LTE.

Both phones tests performed after reset , approximately three miles from the Tmo tower during a moderate rain storm.

My New Post after I realized I was connected to WiFi.

The speeds look similar, however, OnePlus still wins by 0.1MB, so I'm happy lol.

Keep in mind that for some reason, it shows 1 Bar on the iPhone while it shows full bars on the OnePlus. Weird
Both have 5Ge Connection to AT&T

Both have 48 Percent and we're taken at approximately the same time.
