obviously you need to disable hdr in low light photos, it's not made for that. with those photos, enable HQ.

Imo OP will not try to fix the camera issue too hard as the OP6 is coming soon and the older models will be forgotten soon as history shows. This attitude made me ditch OP all together. I hope the camera software issue will be fixed for you guys but i`am not very confident that they will do it whole hartedly.

yes i must say the Galaxy A8 is better in terms of camera. BUT if you look at specs on GSMArena or any other website, itll show that the OP5T is a better phone in general compared to the Galaxy A8. Battery Life, RAM, and just many other features. Therefore if youre looking for a phone solely for camera, just go for the LG V30 because they offer the best camera on the market, but i youre looking for a daily driver that has a decently good camera, good usage, and a good battery also, OnePlus 5T is better in every aspect

Yes but camera is a very important aspect of any smartphone.

YES, I am pretty sure this is the reason. History of Oneplus totally neglecting older customers is always there.

Agree with this! As I continue to use this phone I have zero complaints about the phone except the camera. It's a premium device with a sub-par camera. In most situations in wish I had my old LG G4 camera. The software update didn't seem to help anything either.

not necessarily. If u want to take good photos or have that bomb *** portrait mode photo. Buy a DSLR. Phones are to get you by day by day. Whether that mean checking the news, snapping people (which camera quality does not matter because snapchat only takes a screenshot of your screen when you snap someone instead of actually taking a photo) and just many other daily things. The OnePlus has a decent camera and as a daily driver, itll get me through the day easily without any hiccups in usage or anything. Stop whining over a phone with so much potential just because the camera is not as competent as other phone cameras such as the pixel 2 or the IphoneX

Tell me about it, my 5 year old nexus 5 takes much better pictures than this one. I actually discouraged quite a few of my friends from buying the 5t because the camera is important for them.

Wish they would improve something atleast with the oreo update but as per the ppl in the forums nothing is going to change. Which is really sad

It is highly unlikely if you expecting a quick update to solve the problems beleaguering the camera. If they could have done it, why the big delay?
They would have already done it with the update. But sadly things never change. Now with OP6 in a few months, they will COMPETENTLY IGNORE OP5T USERS AS IF THEY DON'T EXIST ANYMORE.
    JUST WATCH
