I am a OnePlus user. I purchased this phone because there was so much hype all over the place about Oxygen OS and it's smoothness and speed. After using for 1.5 years I am literally done with this OS. No one clarifies you about the insights and the kind of bugs i faced on this OS was way too much frustating.

There are so many bugs on this OS which will never get fixed.
    1. Sudden volume drops when listening to music on high volume.
    2. Fingerprint issues.
    3. Mic issues with 3rd party apps.
    4. Screen Flickering issue in low brightness.
    5. Camera app freezes almost everytime whenever i open it after Android 10.
    6. No Darkmode toggle switch even in Android 10.
    7. Sudden Frame Drops sometimes while unlocking and using the phone around 2 or 3 times a day.

Whenever i submit any kind of bug the following (screenshot) comes. I mean how can you expect a normal person to check bugs and then report it like that. Why can't you make a bug free software despite having so less models to work on.
I guess I'll have to shift back to IOS because for me stability matters alot which OnePlus can't offer as of now. I am done with submitting those stupid bug reports every time.

Thanks OnePlus for showing the real meaning of this community where nothing works according to people who are using it.

    Cheers!

Bugs are bound to happen in any OS, it's a natural part of programming.

Do a full Erase/Delete Data button, factory reset. This will restore you to a fresh installation of 10.3.1. So you will need to backup your phone.

    After Backing up the phone.

Go to Settings, System, Reset Options, Erase All Data, click on the Delete All Data button,

That's the only thing left to do. Everytime when I'll receive new software update then I'll do a factory reset just to make it work better.

Oxygen OS is no doubt the best android skin, but it needs alot of work to make it better. It needs consistency which i think is not there after Android 10. Firstly they provide updates only after 2 months and if we start facing a bug then we'll have to wait for 2 months for the next update. And if someone is reporting a bug then they should not give a pathetically long procedure for submitting bugs.

Try to clear cache manually, from the reboot. I do this after every OS update and there is no issues.
Im using OnePlus 6 for year and an half. It's running smoothly.

You don't need to root it.
You can live with something that you don't like or you can try other ROMs. Your choice

You need to install a custom bootloader, then you install the new rom. You can root it after that if you want, I never do.
There are many step by step guides in YouTube, maybe you should check them

There is nothing natural about programming or software engineering. The more bugs you "create", the worse is you whole software pipeline. Bugs can be reduced to a minimum, but you need the proper team and process to do so! (not counting hardware bugs!).

Blame Google for half-assing this build and app developers not optimizing.
