op3/3t got similar kind of update for Oreo few days back which is a hybrid of nogut and Oreo not purely Oreo this caused several problems for the users which resulted in pulling back the update, i suppose same thing happened for op5 which might got the same hybrid version of Oreo with several problems and now they pulled updated back.

request to OP team.... stick to your schedules and please give proper finished OTAs instead of gifting us half baked products. I know many people are desperate and can't even wait till they get what they need. Just ignore such kind of requests from users and stick to your schedules.

    cheers.

One Plus has very poor software engineers. And to make it worse even if you flash a custom ROM on the OP5 to escape the poor software coding in OOS any custom ROM you flash still uses One Plus firmware--which includes the Frankenstein Nougat/Oreo coding. The only real solution is probably to buy a phone from a different company because One Plus put all its resources into hardware and very little into the software side. That's why the OP5 takes crummy pictures despite the powerful specs for the camera hardware. It still takes crummy pictures if you flash a custom ROM because the poor coding is in the phone's firmware.
