The SAR(Specific Absorption Rate) value of OP2!

    garv_sk9 , Jul 26, 2015 :
Specific absorption rate (SAR) is a measure of the rate at which energy is absorbed by the human body when exposed to a radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic field; although, it can also refer to absorption of other forms of energy by tissue, including ultrasound. It is defined as the power absorbed per mass of tissue and has units of wattsper kilogram (W/kg).

SAR is usually averaged either over the whole body, or over a small sample volume (typically 1 g or 10 g of tissue). The value cited is then the maximum level measured in the body part studied over the stated volume or mass.
    1. From 1st Sept. 2013, only the mobile handsets with revised SAR value of 1.6 W/kg would be permitted to be manufactured or imported in India. ➢ SAR value information display on the mobile handsets like IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) display.
In the US, the ONEPLUS One has the lowest SAR values at 0.62 for the head and 0.75 for the body.

Looking at the low SAR value of OPO i am not too worried about the SAR of OP2. But anything above 1 W/Kg is a deal-breaker for me!

What do you guys think? Does SAR value of a phone has an impact on your phone buying decision?

Do you check that before buying any device? It will be within allowed norms. Without which it wont be allowed to import. You can stop thinking abt it. Government is ther.

If someone ask what is IDFC... I Dont Fuc@# Care.

this is one of the reasons I run ColorOS most of the time. it comes with eye protection. My monitor is always dimmed to the level, so when I put next to it a sheet of paper, they both look the same way. easy on the eyes :)

This is the statement, but I don't know if I believe it.

Anecdotally, I find I get a headache on my OPO after a coupla minutes if I use it without headphones. On my iPhone it was after 15-20 minutes.

Regardless of what the skeptics say, I reckon I do react to SAR levels. And I have a neurologist friend who states categorically that the staff at his hospital's neuro ward all avoid direct head/body contact with their mobile's as best they can. An old RF-engineer I worked with had the same caveat, claiming they witnessed the health risk correlation during the second world war with those working with the communication equipment (high incidence of cancer).

Are there independent SAR-testing reports for the OPO, or just their official specs? The numbers are often quite different.
