SourabhYadav, Jan 11, 2019 : As from the perspective of every TechLover December 13th was an exciting day for me as this was the day to begin sale for OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition in United States. Sale begin time was 10 AM I checked out with this device at 10:02, under two minutes by setting my alarms on the previous night. Then the delivery was expected for December 17th, so I again got up early, stayed home and was eagerly waiting for the device but losty patience at 6 PM, I called FedEx regarding the delivery, they assured me that they will deliver it by 8 PM. All of sudden at 6:25 PM, I have received the email that the shipment was delivered at 1:30 PM and here the bad picture started. I have contacted FedEx for the same and they advised me to. Wait for two days to get their investigation done and on December 19th evening they have concluded that they were not able to recover the shipment. On the other hand One plus asked me to wait for 7 days to get their investigation done and on December 27th they concluded that they cannot do anything with this case and showed me the proof of delivery which says left at front door and I already had that proof after putting tracking number on FedEx website. Then I have again contacted FedEx and they guided me with their claim process, I have mentioned the shipment value as $699 and they asked me to contact oneplus to share the details of shipment by their end, I did what I was asked for and provided the case ID. Then OnePlus has turned back and said now they can issue me the refund, I requested for the replacement as that was the only concern for me that I get my device. Though I received my device on December 31st but this case has impacted me a lot both mentally and emotionally. One plus has failed to answer the previous package details which was lost, as it weighed 20.5 lbs, I guess I was the first customer in United States to buy this special edition device so they tried to appreciate this effort, I kept asking about what all were there in previous package but they did not say anything. It was 60+ E-mails conversation with one plus and 25+ phone calls with FedEx and OnePlus, a lot of time and effort, and to compensate this OnePlus has given me a $10 voucher to use on their website, that's again a smart way to get the business as to qualify for a free shipping I have to shop for $100, so to use a $10 coupon I again need to spend $100 on their website. I am attaching the emails where they first denied then they accepted,the previous package details and the time I checked out. I have applied for a student discount and got this device at $665 but I was charged $20 more from Bank of America as a foreign transaction fee, I bought this device from www.oneplus.com in USD but I was not aware that they use the payment channel as Hong Kong region. For a customer who placed the order on December 13th in no time, it was tough to face all of this, though I have the device now but it overall changed my philosophy for OnePlus as they failed to serve their customer according to expectations. I traveled to Mumbai from Jaipur to join the OnePlus 6 india launch event in May 2018. I traveled from Boston to New York to attend the United States Launch Event for OnePlus 6T in October 2018.
