Why do you think, based on specs sheet and price, market share of any other phone will drop?

I think apart from specs and price, user experience, after sales service, build quality, software updates, etc etc also plays equally important factor for any user.

I would like to know your thoughts on why realme is a threat?

I agree, Indian users lookout for price first. But do you think, Realme will surpass OnePlus in premium range?

    2nd to china.
it is a very immature market in terms of smartphones (the market penetration of smartphones is still tiny as a percentage compared to more established markets), and the segments are scattering. OnePlus does very well in its segment, but a cheaper priced phone doesn't mean OnePlus will sell less. OnePlus sales will still increase, even with sales of a newcomer at a different price point, regardless of specs.

This is intersting question. I feel that it would be a difficult choice. If one doesn't care for update or how quick you get them, then it feels like a good deal. It's perfect for users who are not that into tech but want the best at great value. For those who want a premium brand (Realme is not quite there yet) with fast updates it's OnePlus. Having said that someone looking for OnePlus might still go for Realme as SuperVOOC charging is insane. I think OnePlus will fight the threat with more features instead of a price cut as they would like to stick to their premium branding.

Before even looking at the price, maybe see if you would like the ColorOS. I mean I think the user experience is more important than the price.

Yes, I'm sure OnePlus will feel a threat by a brand owned by the same company as them.

Or maybe, they know of the existence of a sister company and let them use price brackets they don't serve!

Edit: For those who don't know, Realme are BBK. OnePlus are mostly owned by Oppo, who are also BBK.

Is OP a premium brand?
Despite the sabotage in India the K20 Pro still Killed it and under the MI9T banner its on fire globally.
OPPO have put their marker down and will eat Into OP's and other oems market share is they continue with this aggressive pricing.

OP enjoyed subsidised pricing when OPPO and Vivo where not global, that ended late year and the prices went up and the siblings have launched lower price devices under sub branding.

The Budget flagship market is on fire, I picked up a brand new MI Mix 3 5G for $340, crazy.
