That's because Google doesn't tend to push out updates as quickly as oneplus. How is TMobile supposed to certify software if they have to start the process of reviewing every week. If they just pushed the update out to you and it started causing you problems, you would just be complaining about how they didn't do a good job making sure it didn't cause any issues.

Of course, and I regret it each and every time I do. It's been about 3 years since I bought a carrier version phone. Not sure why, but I thought this one would be different. No mention in any software differences at the launch event, or that I would have to wait 40 days to unlock it even though I bought it outright. I honestly feel like I didn't buy a true OnePlus device because of it. It stings each time I watch a video on YouTube when they show software features, animations, settings menus, etc that we aren't getting.

Here is the link for the December security update. The last time we received the update it was paired with the security update. As it was just published on the 3 of December, I would say that the incremental updates pushed by OnePlus will probably be included with this, like they were for the November security patch.

t mobile said they don't get there updates from Google they come straight from one plus. so they say, if they do get from Google then we should have this one all ready and I don't?

This is pathetic we are so far behind the unlocked version. They are on 9.0.7 and we are on 9.0.1

No lie... This is VERY upsetting! What is the big deal with updates being so far behind? Several updates have already been pushed out to the unlocked version and only two for T-Mobile? And for some strange reason, it still says version OxygenOS 9.0.1, not 9.0.7! I know that this is a problem with T-Mobile, but can someone in OnePlus please explain whether or not both devices will receive the same updates or not? We already understand the there will be delays. We can see that. But are the software differences that different? If so, then I will definitely be returning my T-Mobile OnePlus 6T and just cutting my losses with the trade-in value.
