To root or not to Root?

To Root or not to Root?

  1. Of course I will root it! (Please explain why)

  2. I won't root it, the risks outweigh the benefits (Please explain why)

"To unlock or not unlock" is the right question with a definite answer.

For me sooth operation of device counts most in everyday use. i won't bother rooting unless its widely proven built and extremely necessary.

Hi all, I´ll see how far I can take it without rooting, but probably I will do so in few weeks from here.

No rooting for my phone..i think Cyanogenmod already has what is needed for day to day work..also security is also one of the reason.
Another reason is to keep getting OTA updates..

I fed up rooting my previous saaammmuuusaannng3 with many ROM's that are available in XDA:confused:. One thing I felt, by changing from one ROM to other somewhere something you will miss and you will feel the old one is somewhat better than this.....I have decided not to root this beast, though if it liquid/oil smooth with any level of customization:rolleyes::rolleyes:....This is my view:).

I wouldn't own a phone that I didn't unlock bootloader, install custom recovery, and root. That's just the way I roll. ENJOY THE BEAST!

I probably won't root my OPO. My HTC one M8 is rooted and the only thing I did is install a custom ROM (Cyanogenmod) Since the OPO already have Cyanogenmod, I won't need to root it :)

I clicked the like button...I like your avatar & I really like your woman sucking finger thingy.
Now, onto business. How do apps need to be rooted?
Can I get a further explanation of that statement "also tasker will remove the lock pattern when ....".
    Thank you in advance.

Regardless of what phone I'm using I will always root, not to flash custom ROMs infact I always keep mine stock but with just root access. The Root is for apps such as Greenify, Tasker, TiBackup, AdAway (removes ads from apps) and xposed modules.
