Tons of Dropped Calls (Phone or Network?)

    Greetings,

My trusty 6T... well... ain't so trusty anymore. If I'm on the phone for 10 minutes it will drop the call, no matter who I'm calling. But is it the phone or the network.

I'm on T-Mobile. But the signal is weak in my home. I'll test it right now.

That's mid-day. When I switch to Wifi calling it's much better. Except all the dropped calls.

I intend to eBay this phone soon but I don't want to sell someone a 'broken' phone. I don't want them stuck with a phone that drops calls. So is there a hardware test that can rule out antenna (or whatever) problems?

I suppose a network test, as silly as this sounds, is stand somewhere with a strong signal. And gab forever to see if it drops the call?

    HELP please.

By the way -- I've dropped the phone plenty of times over 2+ years. However there's no physical damage. Could something inside dislodged?

It is possible there is a slightly loose connection from the falls.

But from what you say on the issues and you mention you will be selling the phone on.

First to try is to reset the Networks adapters.

Settings, System, Reset Options, Reset WiFi Mobile Bluetooth.

Check for a few calls and see how it works out.

If still an issue and If you intend selling it soon, no harm to backup your phone then do a Full Erase All Data factory reset. Log back in and test it again to soo if that rectified the problem.

You will have to factory reset it again before selling, but worth checking with a fresh OOS.

Thanks for tips. I will try them tomorrow. (I think I tried 1 or 2 already.)

In case this matters: an article said go to SIM STATUS >> SIGNAL STRENGTH and offered this chart --

    My strength was this.

My wife has same situation on same phone but no dropped calls.

So the signal strength has NOTHING to do with the price of beans.

It was RESETTING THE NETWORK ADAPTERS FOR THE WIN!

Thank you thank you thank you!
