OPO Toolbox does a good job so far, but this also looks interesting. More options. Thanks.

Yeah this is one of the highly used tool for nexus products. I have used it on my nexus 7. It's very easy and safe to use.

Figures the day after I unlock and root my OPO an essentially one-click solution arrives. I have used it on my Nexus, its a nice tool.

    Hey bro
thanx for your guidelines ...i also used it to root my nexus 7 2012 so do you need to go through driver installation process for using this kit to root my OPO???

If you have already installed the driver from Nexus tool then you don't need to install it again.

have used it innumerable times for my nexus 4! but on my OPO i tried to backup the app data before goin on for root, the process begins with saying rebooting your device and it does not really reboots. then the program keeps on showing "waiting for your device" all this while the phone is still switched on and never went into the reboot. please help! want to root my phone and this toolkit is the one i am most comfortable with.

    I've exactly the same issue.
I did noticed that the application isn't able to auto-detect my device, so I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong...

I did placed the device as Debug mode, but it doesn't show the pop-up to mark the computer as a safe device. Can it be because of this?

Hopefully this will help me get my phone back to stock. I have used another toolkit on these forums as well as trying to do the fastboot flashing as described on XDA forums, but every time I try it says my that it can't flash because the phone is locked. The thing is, the phone is unlocked, I have a custom recovery and ROM and developer tools on and it's still saying that. Not sure what else to do so I will try this.
