Display Touch not working on OnePlus 5 Dec 19, 2020

    My phone was working perfectly fine. Suddenly, the touch stopped working. Display is still perfect.

    I am using passcode. I restarted the phone but I cant do anything because I cant type my passcode.

    Volume Keys, Power Key and Home Key are working.

    I contacted Service Centre, they said you need to change the display (since display and touch are Combo). Cost of same INR 6800/-.

    Not sure, what do I do?

    Without the touch screen functioning you're not gonna have much luck with the phone 🤷‍♂️

    In this case I'd suggest sending the phone off and getting it repaired as it's not of much use in its current state.

    If you wanted, you could look for a 3rd party to carry out repairs, however the quality of repair cannot be guaranteed at that point

    I think this is more of Software Issue rather than Hardware Issue. I need guidance thereon actually.

    If in case some self-remedies dont work, I will obviously have to give the phone to service centre to get my data on phone back.
