Display Touchscreen issues on the edges? Software problem?

Hello I am having a problem with the touchscreen: if I touch the edges of the screen it doesnt register the touch (https://streamable.com/xh2951)
But I've also noticed that the bottom part of the screen works as it's supposed to do (https://streamable.com/cqdphx) and also that, if I rotate the screen (on chrome for example), when the app is vertical the touch works as it's supposed to do, WHILE when it's horizontal the touch stops working again near the edges: >>> https://streamable.com/kc6vr1 <<<
So I assume this a software problem, right? (Such as a palm rejection feature or smthing to avoid supposed wrong touches?)
The problem is that this is terrible for me, mostly ingame and with some apps, so, is there anything I can do?
(Considering that my OP5 has no problem of this sort and I've upgraded to 8T to get a better experience in games...)
Thx in advance for any help... :(

    Hello,

I have the same problems. Both side are not sensible to single touches. Indeed if you start moving the finger, it starts to track the movement. My impression is that it's some kind of protection for curved screen, to avoid accidental touches, that is messing around the experience.

It's even worse in the lower corners, because here also acts google assistant, and it can do an imposible thing to send an audio message thru WhatsApp while you are using gestures navigation.

All this seems software thing though

I agree, OnePlus should make palm rejection a feature and not force it on OnePlus 8T which doesn't have curved screen. I noticed it sometimes when tapping close in page ads at the corner.

Yes i agree but what about the fact that touch is not registered at the bottom corners of the screen?

Same here. Really frustrating. I'm missing "a"s really often and touches are laggy at the edges. Also hard to send voice messages in telegram or whatsapp. I'd like to disable the whole edge rejection in 8T. This is almost unusable atm.
