I am planning on buying a One Plus One, and i was wondering if the touchscreen issues due to overheating still exist? Is it all fixed for the newly bought devices or is it still a known problem?

I got mine around feb from online store that ordered it from china and i think its pretty old~ and I have only experience touchscreen issues due to cyanogen os 12 OS update. I did not have it on Cyanogen 11S 44S or 05Q update and had fantastic batterylife but with lolipop update I get less now or maybe my usage has gone up cause I play games now!

    go for it !

I believe that the issue is no longer there. If you want to wait, you can also get a OnePlus 2 eventually probably.

It's there on some devices. To save yourself trouble later on if you have it, unlock your bootloader and flash TWRP so you can flash a kernel if you do have the touch issues.

I had my OPO for about 2 months before I had issues, and I wished I had done that earlier to save myself the trouble. From now on, every Android phone I get will have an unlocked bootloader, TWRP flashed and will be rooted, first thing.

Can you please tell me the name of the kernel you are talking about? I am currently experiencing touchscreen issues and can't solve the problem

Either the Boeffla, Bauner or Franco kernels work just fine. I'm currently using the Boeffla kernel. I used to use the Bauner kernel (which is literally stock with the touchscreen fix).

I get the problem every now and then, it seems to go for a bit if I restore factory settings? But I'm a little annoyed that every time I text it seems to have a mind of its own, and completes a whole sentence itself with random words? And puts in random full stops, not sure if this is a touchscreen problem, anyone else having the same issues?

If you do have trouble look forward to plenty of work and about a month and half to get it taken care of.

My touch screen could not be fixed via the OS upgrade. Had to do an RMA. Very painful.

When it works the phone is actually a nice phone. I flashed OxygenOS but I will say Cyanogen, at least for me, is a nice mix of Stock Android with some nice features added. Whereas OxygenOS is more like stock Android. I think I am going to flash back to Cyanogen.

Got mine in April 2015, touchscreen issues began about a month ago, whenever the screen gets hot the touchscreen becomes unresponsive and I have to reboot for it to work again,

after applying CM11 incremental update, the issue is not as common now, I will not be updating to CM 12 as I am afraid the problem will return
