RMA process took 3 weeks from my initial support ticket. Had to jump through a few hoops, but I now have a new working phone in my hands. Happy to have it rather than trying a lot of software fixes.

I'm having some touchscreen issues lately. Especially when typing, it's like the phone things that a button is still pressed when I'm already at the next button - so it's creating a "slide" thinking I'm sliding my finger over the keyboard to type. Really annoying :s. Is the new firmware released and where can I find it?

3 weeks after they picked up your phone, or 3 weeks after you opened your ticket?

EXACT same issue. Dead spot sometimes seems to move. Somtimes it's the upper right, sometimes it's the entire left quarter of the screen.
And yeah, ANY moisture at all in contact with the surface of the screen and it becomes completely unusable. Sometimes a reboot doesn't fix the issue, and I find I have to power it off for a few moments.

CM12.1 0515 nightly (any date past 0517 has the new firmware removed), or the latest Francokernel for COS12.

Return Material Authorization. Basically open a support ticket for warranty repair/replacement.

Any idea when this update is going to come out?. I was using touchscreen fixer.apk from the xda forums, but the fact it vibrated the phone every time the display was on made me unistall it. As I'm off to Spain next week would be nice to have a working screen...

This is getting ridiculous. Can anyone tell me why the hell they can't make an quick OTA update with the fix ONLY? Why I need to wait, god knows how long, for an entire system update?

I DO NOT want to open RMA ticket and be phoneless for a few weeks. I DO NOT want to wipe all data on my phone to install some unchecked, unstable software. I paid for a genuine, working phone, but every time I try to use the touchscreen I feel like some huge SIZE PLUS hand slaps me in the face, laughing at me for trusting some generic chinese company.

I am even ashamed to sell away this half-working piece of garbage. I begged for an invitation, I promoted it among friends, I waited a long time for shipment and this is how they paid me off.

The last time I felt so screwed is when I voted in the government elections!

Currently the only option to have the fix in a usable state is to flash the CM12.1 nightly (0515, 0516, or 0517), or one of the kernels out there that have integrated the current fix as well (franco, boeffla).

OK cheers how stable are the nighty builds? Or would getting one of the kernels be a better idea?

Fairly stable, looks like Boeffla reverted his kernel back already, and I'm not sure where the franco kernel is that has the fix, to be honest. But I've heard good things about the 12.1 nightlies lately, stable enough for a daily driver.
