Has anyone tried using the DSU Loader option in developer settings to try out the new beta GSI build of Android 12?

I have but instead of getting the installation going I get every time this notification that there was an error when installing.
    Does it work for you?
    Do you know a solution?

    That is true.
I'm talking about Android 12 beta 1 GSI build.
Android 11 has a feature called Dynamic System Update Loader or DSU Loader for short. For devices released with Android 10 out of the box - that is OnePlus 7T series for example - it should allow for seamless and temporal installation of a dynamic system - next to Android 11. That is create a temporal kind of dual boot. So the phone still has Android 11 but you should be able to try out Android 12. This option is hidden in developer settings and called DSU Loader.
The problem is - it does not work.
    I get some install error.
My friend had it installed but it wouldn't boot. (No data has been lost)

    This article discusses the feature:
    https://www.xda-developers.com/andr...ootloader-developers-test-apps-stock-android/

It kind of seems that people have forgotten about this option. It would be really amazing if it worked.

    People are crazy!

And it is getting worse every day!

    Stable: OS10 :)
    Struggling with: OS11
And now, for the complete crazy ones: Android 12 on the 7T Pro :mad:

    WHY?

It's a test. So it only creates a temporary partition for testing the gsi. Once you reboot, it's ends the test.

There's an adb command you can use to make it a stick over reboots though.

Did it work for you? I tried installing on my OnePlus 8 but failed at reboot stage.

It will take another year from today, for the first beta build of OOS 12 to appear for OP 7T.

    Don't worry about this.

I personally want everything I can get out of my handset ( oneplus 7t ) .

Flashing third party firmware ( Roms, Kernels ) runs a little more smoother, responsive and much better battery, just to state a few Pros.

Although, they're Cons as well, Some cases, More bugs :(

The risk is worth the squeeze :-D
