currently I'm using T-Mobile prepiad plan with my oneplus one. I'll get my oneplus two on Monday. Now I need to switch to nano sim for op2. Here are my options

    1. cut it myself
    2. buy one of those cutters and cut it using that

anyone who has done option 1 or 2? Did you need to sand down the sim card to fit in the op2? nano sim is thinner than micro sim

    3. buy another sim from T-Mobile for like $15 (unless I wait for $1 sale again)

if I get another sim, would I be able to activate the new sim with my existing prepaid plan?

Would another option be to upgrade and change your plan for a new and better deal if you can find it? Therefore at the same time you can simply request a nano sim.

I cut my micro down to a nano without a template or sanding it down, pretty easy. Seemed to fit good also

I was also contemplating on purchasing a nano sim card for my OP2 but opted to just cut my micro sim instead. There are lots of tutorials online. I figured if I mess it up, I can just buy one anyway so it is worth a try. Whole process took less than 5 minutes, works great and saved myself $10.

    Ah ok, that's fair enough.

Guess it's up to you, i've cut sim's down from mini to micro sizes, but never tried cutting down to nano size.

Good luck either way you go and hope you enjoy the new phone.

Down at my local AT&T i was told that i could damage my phone if i you cut an micro-sim down to the size of Nano. And in my opinion 15$ spended is alot better than a ruined smartphone.

Did you have to sand down the sim to make it thinner to put in the op2?

I have the same prepaid plan you do. I ended up just walking into T-Mobile and buying a nano card for $15.

hmm..interesting. i kind of doubt that though. it's just the metal part making contact with the sim slot. maybe he was trying to get u to get a new sim and get commission?

Just cut it yourself, I did so! It's easy, but be carefull.

    That's also a very good option! :D

I've done option 1. Not too hard. It'd be best to get something to sand it down, as it'll make it that much easier.

Tried once to cut a sim with a special sim cutter and that didn't work.
Just order a new Nano card. Order one at the T-Mobile website. It is half the price as in the shop (well...here in The Netherlands it is. Dunno at yours)
Took 2 days to get it in the mail, costs will be billed on your monthly invoice and you only need to activate it.

You pay & 400 for the phone and you can not afford $15 for the sim card?

I don't think he was going for the commission, because i got the Nano-sim for free, however i guess if you could cut it down precisely it wouldn't matter. I had a friend who did that to fit a micro-sim in his iPhone 5S, and it ended with him not being able to get his sim-tray to eject, and a 200$ repair bill. But it's your phone, so do as your wish. I have just been advised against it.

opo is micro. micro is bigger than nano
well considering i paid for the mirco sim already and its the exact same thing just with extra plastic. I don't feel like paying $15 every time I change a phone and $15 for a sim card is pretty ridiculous.
