You can save it for future use or sell it

Yes I did. Both SIMs fit perfectly.

Nope....did not need anything besides a pair of scissors.

BUT I have done this a LOT of times before....so be careful. You don't want to ruin your SIM. Better get a SIM cutter than experimenting on your working primary SIM for your first time.

I think I might as well just buy a new sim. those cutters cost about $7 and I can get a new sim from Microsoft store for $10

I'd still keep the cutter handy considering all future phones will need a nano SIM ...never know if a friend / family member might need one....might just save you some $$ in the long run.

I walked into my Vodafone shop and asked them to switch my micro from the One for a nano for the Two, which they did foc. Took about half an hour for the number to port across.

I'm from India. Out here, most cell phone accessory shops have sim cutters and they charge you a very small amount for cutting your sim to any size. I got mine cut, no sanding was necessary for my sim. Working fine so far. I've been using it for about 25 days.

I cut the SIM to a micro when I got my OPO and again recently to a nano when I got my OPT. It's not very difficult as long as you have sharp scissors and a file.

Go to your closest t mobile store and asked them to cut it for you... Carrier is Vodafone, when my opo came, i went to the store and they just clip it free of charge.

You could go to Walmart and get the T-Mobile starter kit for $29 that includes the sim card and one month of service. Or you could order the kit online. It is for T-Mobile and not StraightTalk.

In the UK on Three. Went into the store, said I'm on a SIM only plan and just bought a new phone which needs a nano SIM. He used a cutter on it for me free of charge, no need for sanding, then offered to buy my OPO off me when he realised what I had upgraded from/to.

It worked fine for me, I just got a sim cutter that had the best rating on Amazon. I have already cut sim cards for 5 of my friends and if its a tight fit you can use a nail filer to smooth it out. My sim cutter basically paid for itself.
