I was able to get calls working, but no data. I tried to work on the APN settings, but no luck.

Anyone else try this to get it working on Verizon?

I get calls and text. From my understanding it does not support Verizon's LTE bands.

I just added a tmobile sim I have as well so my calls and text come from Verizon and my data is handled via T-Mobile.

It's supposed to support Band4-AWS and Band2-1900MHz, out of the Verizon LTE bands.

The question is, can it be coerced into communicating with at least 3G speeds.

I thought it was just the opposite; voice and text would have to be CDMA which the OP3 does not have, but some of the 3G/4G bands could be used for data. Are you saying you are making CMDA calls and SMS? What region are you in?

Verizon is CDMA (1X and 3G). The only data that could be supported is LTE (LTE is GSM). There is technically partial support for Verizon LTE Bands, but the primary Band 13 LTE is not available.

    CDMA: 1X, 3G

Verizon and Sprint are CDMA and the OnePlus 3 only supports GSM. Verizon and Sprint still require SIM's for LTE Service since LTE is a GSM Technology. The OnePlus 3 does not Band 13 LTE and otherwise has partial partial Band Support with Band 2 and Band 4 LTE.

One plus 3 actually supports both CDMA and GSM, which is why Verizon users are able to get 3g service and place calls. The only thing restricting the OP3 from being a true Verizon device is the lack of Band 13.

It has full Band Support for 1X/3G? That's interesting.

What he said above. It actually does have CDMA. It has to be a side 'feature' of the radio their using. Not super helpful since no LTE for the providers, but still, 3G is there.

Yes i get calls and text on my Verizon sim but not LTE data. I use my T-Mobile sim for that. No issues other than MMS wouldn't work. But I downloaded the Verizon messaging app and now all is right as rain. Everything works as I want.

Not sure if this is the case for Verizon but it is a known issue for ATT customers have LTE connection issues.

CAUSE: The IMEI for both sim slots are listed to only be set to receive 2G (H), hspa network. So if you contacted your service provider and registered your sim card with either of OP3 IMEI's, then you will not get LTE.

WORKAROUND: get your service provider to put your IMEI back to a previous phone that had LTE service.

NOTE: I had the same issue because I had to get a new Sim card because I went from a microsim to a nanosim. You access your phone information, by dialing *#*#4636#*#*. It will show your "Network type" only as hspa instead of LTE. There is no way to force it to LTE on your end, you have to contact your service provider.

No, Verizon LTE will never work on the OnePlus One, as their LTE bands are unsupported by the radio.

Yeah I'm returning this peice of garbage, the only suggestion technical support had was telling me to change carriers

Well it's not a piece of garbage. It just doesn't support all of verizon bands. I knew that before I bought mine. That's why I just added a line to my tmobile account. I use my Verizon sim for calls and text so I didn't have to change my phone number with everyone. Verizon customers and sprint are notorious for not getting a lot of devices because of their networks. It's not new. I have had them for years and always had this issue. I keep verizon though for now because of their network in my area but soon I will dump themy completely. Best of luck finding a device that works for you. The oneplus is a fantastic device.

That's because of AT&T. There's no issue with T-Mobile or any carrier that's just plug and go.

If you are referring to Verizon, I'm not sure why you would buy the device in the first place.
