Turn off aggressive doze

    Hello Everyone,

I have around 224 apps on my phone. Since upgrading to OOS 4.x series, I had been facing ridiculous battery drains when people here were talking about 4 hrs+ SOTs.

To get around this, I had tried everything shared and advised on the forum except for factory reset (after upgrading from OOS 3.x series). It did not help me even reach 4 hrs SOT.

So I decided and turned off aggressive doze for a week and attached is my latest battery stat.

This is just an experience I wanted to share although it may not make sense when you are reading this. But if you are out of options just turn off aggressive doze, app auto-launch etc.. Only keep the doze mode from developers option.

Anyways let me know your feedback. Screenshot_20170429-095912.png

Have you done a factory reset after upgrading to Nougat? How many apps have you got on your phone? Since having aggressive doze on for myself, I never actually had a doze moment in my battery stats (the horizontal line as I see on yours). I don't really know what's the issue and I'm inclined to performing a factory reset.

Wake lock detector and BBS all show numerous wakelocks related to system/Google Apps. I've cleared cache both via stock recovery and via storage settings, but it doesn't help me at all.

I had my camera repaired so I had to do a reset to begin with since I updated to 7.1.1 before I sent the phone in. But I'm on beta 14 so I doubt that's the cause. The flat line was because I fell asleep for the night and didn't plug the phone in. I have 92 apps installed.

Thanks for sharing.. I've already tried the aggressive doze and apps auto-launch combo. That didn't serve me well... Didn't know about the WLAN filter.. Trying it on now.. If all fails, I will perform a factory reset.. Any tips for that as I'm unrooted with stock ROM? I've heard about Helium to assist me for the same. However I wouldn't wanna install all my apps again. Only on use case basis. Will live with the important daily driver ones first. Will keep you posted =)

I used my phone with agressive doze for months but the Screen Off-Time was Exactly same as disabled Agressive Doze mode.

    By the way, from 73% to 5% i used yesterday (~40% 4G, ~60% WiFi) and got 4h 2m SOT (58% discharge)

    7h 42m deep-sleep with 10% discharge to Screen Off-Time.

This includes: ~ 1h Fantasy War Tactics R Gaming (WiFi)
~30min Game Of Dice Gaming (WiFi)
    ~40min YouTube (1080p & 1080p 60fps) (WiFi)
    ~35min 9Gag (4G only)

    Average Brightness (~35%)
Used as lowest: ~10% for 1h or less
    Used as highest: ~60% for ~1h more/less

Adjusting brightness manually to my taste and environment condition.

And other small multi tasked apps used a bit more less, so even with gaming i think it is quite good results.

I dont use Auto-app start or Agressive Doze-Mode.

Disabled majority of Google's services and functions as much as possible with minimal user experience distortion.

Thought giving a detailed info of my battery stat would help give you guys my tune-up results.

At that period, combined use of average power was ~12.3%/h (this is average drain calculation)
    Screen off: 0.9%/h (Average).

At 4G (full reception + 200m radius movement, speed as "walking" minimal movement, job place) Screen Off-Time generally is at ~1.4%/h
    At WiFi: ~0.5%/h

Why delete Chrome and use an alternative? Are there any solid facts about that? Thanks in advance.

After 4.1.1, I have never managed to get a day's worth of juice from the phone. Whenever I see posts like these I wonder what's wrong with my phone, since my usage in terms of heavy gaming, YouTube in nothing. Now the battery doesn't last more than 20 hours no matter what I do.

Chrome is a known battery hog and uses too many recourses Brave Browser is a much lighter Browser and as you can see from my battery stats I use it immensely and still get really good usage. I couldn't do that with Chrome

I agree with everybody one plus three has a big issue on heating tremendously and battery drainage in four hours
I think we have to speak to the highest authority of one plus three after having spent around 30 k we don't deserve this
